Our Story

We met at Hillsborough High School, where we both ran track and played soccer! We started to get to know each other more during our senior year, and always stayed in touch after graduation. Sarah made the first move by asking for his number at their High School Spirit Night!

In late 2020, we both were traveling out west and got reconnected. Randy spent a month in Yosemite, and then traveled between LA, Vegas and nearby national parks in Utah. Sarah was doing van-life, exploring national parks across Utah and California.

Originally planning to hike together in Zion, a snow-storm came and ruined the plans. Hopeful to see one another, Randy drove to see Sarah in Death Valley! Since then, the rest is history.

We were inseparable from the start, and in the first few months of dating, we took a month and a half long trip to Hawaii!

When we returned, we split time across Philadelphia & Asbury Park where each of us lived in 2021, taking numerous trips along the way. Asbury Park, NJ - Where Randy lived.

Philadelphia, PA - Where Sarah lived.

Shenandoah National Park - 6 month anniversary camping trip.

Lake Placid - Sarah & Her Dad’s Ironman.

Portland, Maine - Exploring the Proodian family roots, the town where Randy’s grandma grew up.

Switzerland - Sarah’s brother lives in Switzerland and the family took a trip to explore the country.

Jiminy Peak, MA - the Gacek’s have been spending a week in Jiminy Peak for nearly all of Randy’s life; it’s where he learned to ski and snowboard.
